The REACH Method™
Evaluate
What Evaluate means
Reveal produces a picture of the situation. Evaluate is the work of making sense of it: weighing what the evidence supports rather than what impression it leaves, and holding findings against the realities the business is actually operating in.
Reach uses research, analysis, professional judgment, and client context to establish a well-supported direction. Faith governs how Reach understands stewardship and responsibility here; it does not stand in for evidence, financial rigor, or sound judgment.
What is examined
- Evidence
- What the available information actually shows, and where it is thin.
- Context
- The circumstances this particular business is operating in.
- Constraints
- What is genuinely fixed, as distinct from what has simply not been questioned.
- Risks
- What could go wrong, what it would cost, and what it would affect.
- Opportunities
- What is available to the business that it is not currently using.
What Evaluate asks of you
Assumptions get tested at this stage, including long-held ones. Evaluate asks you to engage with the evidence and consider findings on their merits - particularly the findings you were not expecting.
A finding is not yet a recommendation. Deciding what should change on the strength of what Evaluate establishes is the next stage of the REACH Method.
